There are three main types of diabetes:  Type 1 Diabetes   Type 2 Diabetes  Gestational diabetes (diabetes while pregnant).  

Diabetes is a disease that occurs when your blood glucose, also called blood sugar, is too high. Glucose is  your body's main source of energy. 

Liver functions test(LFT) are a set of tests for checking the amount of proteins, enzymes and bilirubin  present in the blood. These tests help diagnose liver infection, liver disease or damage. Elevated or  lower levels of one or more of these substances can be a sign of a liver problem. 

Liver diseases, medical conditions, medications and infections can cause elevated liver enzymes.  Common causes for elevated liver enzymes include: Certain medications, such as cholesterol-lowering  drugs (statins) and acetaminophen. Fatty liver disease, including alcohol-related and non-alcohol-related  conditions.
